Marketing Department– We are currently accepting residents to our Independent Living wing. If you are interested please call Carla Wheeler at 217-269-2396 to schedule a tour today.

Human Resources– We are currently accepting applications for the following positions: RN’s, LPN’s, C.N.A’s and 1 full time Activity Aide. If you are interested please apply online at pleasantmeadows.org or in person.

Activity Department– We have been busy with our Mother’s Day Soiree which was a huge success. We had live entertainment with Bob Schifo, homemade cookies and punch. We have also been busy leading all of the activities and staff games for National Nursing Home Week and having so much fun in the process. We are currently looking for 1 full time aide.

Our staff and residents worked hard all week to get donations for our local Edgar County Animal Shelter and it was a success. We had dog food, blankets, toys and a $100 donation made on behalf of our residents to present to them. Andrea from the shelter was here with 2 lovely ladies Ginger and Ellie to accept. We want to thank them so much for coming out and allowing us to pet and love on them too! Please check out the Edgar County Animal Shelter’s Facebook page to see all of the loveable dogs available for adoption! Let’s help them find their forever homes! We also want to thank Lauren for bringing in her dog Creed and Erica for bringing in her dog Wrigley we got to love on them too!

Horses were running wild during our staff game today! They had to run a relay race through the facility. I promise no horses or staff members were harmed during the race!

We want to thank Whinny Nickers Horse Therapy for bringing Hope and Zacharius to visit with us yesterday. We were so excited to pet and love on them both!

Staff had their own type of fun today with a Wheelchair Water Bottle Challenge relay race! The first set of staff had to roll backwards in the chair and drink some thickened liquid and then the second set had to wear pantyhose on their head filled with tennis balls and knock over as many water bottles as they could! Congratulations to Lauren our Director of Nursing and Erica our Infection Control Nurse!
