PMSL Department Highlights
Marketing Department: We are currently taking applications for available rooms on our Independent Unit. If you are interested in more information or a tour, please contact Jami McNulty at 217-269-2396. Community Bingo will be held at the Chester P. Sutton Community Center in Paris on Tuesday, September 10th, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and at the Georgetown Library in Georgetown on Tuesday, September 17th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Come and join the fun!
Human Resources: We are accepting applications online or in person for the following positions: RN, LPN, Dietary Department and Activities Department. If you have any questions please contact our Human Resources Director Rhonda Murray at 217-269-2396. We look forward to speaking with you!
Activity Department: We are currently in the process of fundraising for our Annual Christmas party for our residents. Each year every resident receives a gift and goodies from Santa. We will be featuring a Basket Raffle and will be selling them at the Chrisman Days Celebration on Friday September 6th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, September 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the baskets available for viewing. Ticket sales will end on September 27th at noon. Winners will be drawn at 2 p.m. on this day at Pleasant Meadows. Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more details to come!
August 2024 PMSL Employee Spotlight Zoe Washkowiak
Zoe grew up in Catlin, IL. and was born to Carrie and Rich. Her mother is also a nurse and her dad works as an EMT. She has one older brother Dylan and a younger sister Shelby. Zoe is not married but, has been with her wonderful boyfriend Cameron Winland for over 2 years. Zoe has worked for PMSL for over a year starting as an LPN and now is an RN. Zoe states that what she most enjoys about her job is working the Alzheimer’s residents and making them feel pampered, like everyday is a girls day! The advice that she gives to future and current employees is that “patience is the key, know when you need a break and take it”. Zoe’s most favorite moments are when on slow days she gets to do residents hair, paint their nails and just reminisce with them. She states that the most challenging part of her career is to just buckle up and continue the shift after losing a resident. We are so blessed to have Zoe as an RN at PMSL. We would like to thank her for her dedication, patience, caring and kindness towards each of our residents.
National Golf Month
We celebrated National Golf Month with a couple of rounds of mini golf. Our residents had so much fun you could hear the laughter throughout the building!
Live music with Bob Warn
Bob Warn visited us this past week with his accordion. We love playing his game of guessing which song he is playing and we all guessed them right!
