Last week we had special live entertainment by Troy Stone and Heaven Bound. Our residents always love live music. Thank you both for coming out and entertaining us. We hope to see you soon!
Golf Day!
The cold weather outside did not stop us from practicing up on our golf swing! We are ready for the green!
A Carnation for Mom!
What a better way to say thank you and I love you to that special mom, grandma or aunt on Mother’s Day!
Our residents make a difference!
Our staff had a fundraiser for our local Humane Society in honor of our late co-worker Jacob Lovell yesterday. These wonderful residents wanted to help by donating too!
April Employee of the Month Heather Lucas
Heather Lucas was born to William and Norma Dreher. She has three sisters Amy, Kim and Rachel. She grew up in Georgetown Il. and now resides in Chrisman Il. She has been married to her best friend Dennis Lucas for thirteen years and has four children Kylie, Kristina, Dawn and Harrison. She has 10 grandchildren. Heather starting working for Pleasant Meadows three years ago as a CNA on our former Alzheimer’s Unit. She now works as an RNA in the Restorative Therapy Department. When asked what she enjoys most about her job Heather states “I love helping my residents become stronger and getting to spend some 1:1 time talking with them. One of her favorite moments is dancing with the residents on the former Alzheimer’s Unit. The biggest challenge that she says that she has faced in her career is losing a resident that you have become very close to. We asked her what advice she would give to current or future employees and she stated to never forget why you chose this career and care for everyone as if they are your grandmother or grandfather. Heather says that after 27 years of being a CNA/RNA she still loves what she does and that Alzheimer’s and end of life care will always be her passion. PMSL would like to thank Heather for her dedication to our residents. We are lucky to have such a kind and caring person on our team!
