Darla grew up in Montezuma IN. She enjoyed growing up there and spending time with her sister and family. She now resides in Chrisman IL. She is married to Jamey Willming and the two of them have been married for 40 years this year. She has two children Kayla who works as a school teacher and resides in Texas and David who works for AHW and resides in Chrisman IL. In her spare time, she enjoys taking long walks, fishing and working in her flower garden.
Darla has worked for Pleasant Meadows for 40 years. Her and her husband Jamey met at Pleasant Meadows when she dropped a tray of coffee cups at his feet, and this is one of her favorite moments. After their wedding they came to Pleasant Meadows to show all of the residents their wedding attire. She started working as a dishwasher and is now a cook for our Dietary Department. She states that what she enjoys most about her job is making the food appealing and tasty for our residents to enjoy. Her biggest challenge in the department was learning how to cook for over 100 people each day.
When asked what advice she would give to current and future employees of Pleasant Meadows, Darla stated, do your job to the best of your ability and always be a team player.
Jayme grew up in Ridge Farm IL. and now resides in Chrisman IL. with his wife Darla. They have been married for 40 years this year and have two children Kayla who is a school teacher and resides in Texas and David who works for AHW and resides in Chrisman IL. In his spare time he enjoys riding his bike, keeping fit, fishing and attending church.
Jayme has worked for Pleasant Meadows for 42 years. He and his wife Darla met at Pleasant Meadows when she dropped a tray of coffee cups at his feet. On their wedding day they stopped in at Pleasant Meadows to show all of the residents their wedding attire. He started working in housekeeping and is now driving for our Transportation department. He states what he enjoys most about his job is getting to hear the residents share their lives and testimonies when he is taking them to and from their appointments. He also enjoys being Santa’s helper for our Activity Departments Family Christmas party and having a good time with the residents and their families. He also enjoyed drinking coffee every morning with his mother while she was a resident at Pleasant Meadows. When asked what advice you would give current or future employees of Pleasant Meadows, Jayme stated, do not get upset over the little things in life. This day will pass.
